Established in 2005, the Yukon Hospital Foundation works under the direction of its volunteer Board of Directors to raise funds through special events and individual and corporate giving to help Whitehorse General Hospital purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment.
“Because my daughter Emma broke her arm so badly, our choices were to have it fixed in Whitehorse or in Vancouver or Edmonton. The idea of going to a big city was more traumatizing than my daughter needing surgery. It was a big relief that she was able to get such wonderful care here in Whitehorse. It made a great deal of difference.”

This year’s Northwestel Festival of Trees concluded in Whitehorse over the weekend, raising over $450,000 for the Yukon Hospital Foundation.
